Dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis is an intensely personal experience. For many women (and men), a cancer diagnosis is an intensely private journey. For one woman in the UK, only her closest family members and relevant healthcare professionals knew about her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Although she believed that knowledge was power and had carefully read every leaflet and listened to all the information she was given, nothing prepared her for what happened next.
An Unexpected Symptom
Several months after treatment, her treated breast began increasing in size and becoming uncomfortable. Having had only two lymph nodes removed and no swelling in her arm, it simply made no sense.
Searching desperately for answers, she eventually discovered an obscure publication referring to breast oedema. Finally, she had a name for what she was experiencing. Armed with that knowledge, she spoke with her consultant, who recommended Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), leading her on the next stage of her journey.
Her MLD therapist also suggested pressure garments and inserts as options that could help maximise the results. Once again, she turned to Google to explore the available options and was faced with ‘sticker shock’ at the prices.
Finding a Solution - Discovering the DP-Tx™ Bra Insert
While searching for options, she came across an Australian trial for Chezleon's DP-Tx™ Bra Insert. Shortly after trying it out, she was & still is ‘absolutely thrilled’ with the results:
"Mine arrived quickly, and I was (and still am) absolutely thrilled with it. It fits neatly into a bra pocket, although it can be worn inside a normal bra too. It's light, soft, comfortable, and washable, but most importantly, IT WORKS!!!!!!"
She shared her discovery with her MLD therapist, who began encouraging other patients to join the DP-TxTM Bra Insert, all of whom were ‘really happy’ with the results.
Patient-First Care
Throughout the evaluation programme, Cheryl Pollock, founder of ChezLeon, actively sought feedback from participants to help refine the DP-Tx™ Bra Insert and ensure it met patients' needs in terms of effectiveness, comfort, usability and affordability.
‘The thing that impressed me most was that Cheryl, genuinely LISTENED to feedback from patients’
"I no longer have MLD, and the expense of it, thanks to using the DP-Tx™ Bra Insert regularly, and I look and feel normal again. I am eternally grateful to Cheryl, and hope that this product will reach a lot of people out there..."
Raising Awareness Together
"I passionately believe that there is a woeful lack of education around the existence of breast oedema. Hopefully, the visibility of this product will help to publicise the issue, as well as helping anyone affected by it."
We thank this courageous UK patient for sharing such a personal part of her journey with us and helping raise awareness of breast oedema to empower women worldwide!
